Lewes area bus service changes

Changes to some East Sussex bus services from 19 April 2026

There will be some changes to bus services supported by East Sussex County Council through its Bus Service Improvement Plan funding during April 2026.

Following changes to the level of funding available from East Sussex County Council’s BSIP fund, services 121, 123 and 125 will be revised.

Sunday 19 April 2026 will be the last day that the Sunday and Bank Holiday Compass Travel services on routes 121 and 123 will operate.  These journeys will be partly replaced by Cuckmere Buses services 21 and 23 (click here).  The current CTLA service 123 journeys will continue to run as shown in the existing timetable.

From Monday 27 April 2026, service 125 will operate on schooldays only and will no longer serve Eastbourne.  There will just be two journeys a day, limited to school time travel, but available for everyone to use.  This service will be partly replaced by Cuckmere Buses service 25, which will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as its existing Saturday service (click here).
